I’m excited (and also quite terrified) to announce that I’m launching “The Mrs. Startup Podcast” on Monday, Aug. 19!
For those of you who don’t know, my husband, Ryan, started his solo journey into entrepreneurship almost five years ago. It’s been the hardest thing I’ve ever gone through, and I’ve really struggled as a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, and a friend.
Marriage is hard. Throw in entrepreneurship (and a few kids), and it gets even harder.
While there are some resources available, I don’t think there are enough people talking about what it’s really like to be married to an entrepreneur. There are highs and lows no matter how successful the business is.
I don’t have all the answers, and I’ve made plenty of mistakes. To be honest, I’m still struggling. But I can have conversations with other spouses and share their stories. I can interview experts in various subjects – like marriage counselors and finance experts – to provide tips and tricks about things that maybe I haven’t done or don’t do well. And I can share my own story in the hope it’ll help others.
I want this podcast to be a positive place where people can come for inspiration and laughs, as well as comfort and ugly cries. My challenge is to be upbeat while remaining authentic.
Now comes the part where I ask for your help! Taking a few seconds to share this post so I can get the word out about the podcast would really mean a lot.
And if you’re married to an entrepreneur and business owner, let me know what topics you’d like me to cover on the podcast. Better yet e-mail me so I can tell your story!
Finally, please like the Mrs. Startup Facebook page, and join the Facebook group. Share this post with others who are married to entrepreneurs. And stay tuned for more info and the release of The Mrs. Startup Podcast!
