With Brittney Castro
Money issues are often cited as a top reason couples fight, as well as a reason they divorce. So why do we think hiring a financial planner is a luxury? I believed this, too, until I interviewed Brittney Castro, the founder and CEO of Financially Wise Inc., a Los Angeles-based financial planning firm.
I went into this chat with Brittney expecting some DIY tips on managing money, and I came out convinced that every marriage needs a financial planner, especially if you’re married to an entrepreneur. Investing, saving, budgeting – there’s a lot that goes into managing money and owning a business only makes it more complicated. A professional expert can help you and your spouse avoid mistakes and save you money in the long run. Plus he or she can serve as a neutral third-party during financial discussions, which really helps relationships.
Brittney also shares common financial mistakes she sees entrepreneurs make, how women and men think differently about money and business, and how to create a money mindset. Most importantly, she explains why your marriage needs a financial planner.
